One year saving the district $15 million dollars-

Advocated to delay the school openings: Two elementary schools, One middle school, and One high school

Added two auditors who report to the Board of Education providing independent review of internal organizations and policies.

Helped initiate the Priority Based Budget committee which provided a transparent, community involved process to decrease spending in many facets of FISD resulting in a savings of over $12 million dollars.

Voted and advocated for Summer School online providing a savings of over $600,000.

Even when first TRE failed, I publicly stated our teachers should still receive the 2% raise they deserved.

The average teacher salary has increased almost $4,000 in the last three years and starting salary is now one of the highest in North Texas.

I have supported SPED teachers receiving higher compensation and for our recruiting of educators to go beyond the three state area of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Advocated for recognition of our teachers with our Teacher of the Year awards.

Frisco ISD uses STOPit, an online and app-based system, to empower students, parents, teachers and others to anonymously report anything of concern to school officials – from cyber-bullying to threats of violence or self-harm.

Funding for bullet resistant glass on all classroom doors and integrating 4K cameras into our surveillance system.

Adding additional Crisis Counselors and Campus Support Facilitators to meet with students.

Adding additional drug and powder detection dogs.

Hired an Emergency Manager.

Social Media Tracking Programs to track potential outside threats to the district.

Require all Principals and Assistant Principals to complete NIMS training.

Success in having FISD community based committees such as the PBB (Priority Based Budget) and LRPC (Long Range Planning Committee).

Frisco Insight provides a perspective of the District’s operations to a new class of community representatives on a yearly basis.

Innovative Curriculum

International Baccalaureate (IB),  Project Lead the Way, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), and INCubatoredu.

Students may be enrolled concurrently at a FISD high school and Collin College for specified classes noted in the FISD course catalog. Students in dual credit courses earn both high school and college credit.

New CTE classes including Cyber-security and Video Game Programming. Twenty-seven CTE industry certifications.
